My Sleep All Night

Just a quick update today, and just really on the kids.  That's all you guys care about anyway! ;)

We'll start with Nora.  Last night she "crawled"!  I hesitate really saying that's what it was cause it was pretty choppy and awkward but for the first time she made forward movement.  Up until last night, it was always backward movement.  And for the first time she actually moved her arms/hands.  Usually she will get up in a plank position and then when she drops her knees they are a bit further back than they were before then she slid her hands back, therefore moving backward.  Last night she would drop her knees more forward than they were before then move her hands forward to keep balance.  She got pretty frustrated/fatigued by the end but she still did it!  I put a toy about 3 feet in front of her and she made it to the toy!  But really she didn't care about it, she was trying to get to me so I would save her (she was crying by the time she made it to the toy).

She's been fighting sickness (again!) so we need to figure out how to stop that.  Poor girl is having a pretty hard time going to bed each night, we've spent two or so hours for the past 4-5 nights getting her to sleep, she fights it or is uncomfortable, I can't tell which.  But she's generally happy during the day, at least that's what daycare people say.

Here she is this morning.  She refused to smile for me, just sucked her lip.  She's still cute though.

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids this morning too.  Reed wanted to take a picture with Nora but then didn't really participate.  Again, Nora wouldn't smile so this is what we got!  I think they are kinda funny.

Now onto Reed.  He's been talking so much more these days.  He says all kinds of stuff and they are pretty funny comments.  He's a chatterbox in the car on the way to school each day. It cracks me up.  The other day, he was telling me about how daddy's face is scratchy but mommy's face isn't.  That Lightening McQueen is pretty.  He told me that he lives in Green Mountain (actually Mtn. Green, but whatever, close enough).  That Nora's name is "Baby Sister".  That he is going to take his Lightening McQueen bag when we go on vacation, fill it with cars, books, airplanes and toys.  I mentioned maybe we should bring clothes too.  He always wants to help with whatever we are doing.  He wants to help clean or make Nora's bottle or mow the lawn.  He will always say when asked how he slept "all night".  Even if he didn't sleep all night, that's the answer.  He also uses the word "my" instead of "I".  "My want to help!", "my love to go swimming".   He insists on picking out his own clothes every day too. Getting very independent about almost everything.  Well, except for potty training!  He can he just won't.  He'll pee in the potty most of the time, just not poop.  We just got rid of diapers altogether so eventually he will get it.  He doesn't like being wet or poopy but apparently that's not motivation enough to completely stop.  Most of the time he makes it through the day dry but not consistent enough to call it totally potty trained.

That's all for now - catch up later!
