We went to Maine, and saw...

We recently took a trip to Maine to visit some family and have a little vacation relaxing time.  I'm too tired to give you the play by play of the trip, so I just uploaded some pictures and will caption them to tell the story of our trip!

This is Larry.  He is Fogg's Dad's best childhood friend.  Larry bought up a bunch of land around where Fogg's grandma and grandpa live (Ohio Street in Bangor Maine) and he is one of the biggest dairy farmers in the area.  He graciously offered to take Reed for a ride on his BIG tractor.  He was so sweet with Reed.

This is Fogg's grandma (the great grandkids call her Gram).  She is a bit hard of hearing and was pretty excited to spend time with Nora.  Nora is Gram's middle name, who we named her after.  So Gram would get a chair and park herself in front of Nora whatever she was doing.  Here she is at a family BBQ watching Nora play in the exersauser.

Gram with all the blood Fogg's (us inlaws got a pass).  We are standing in the garage cause it was raining outside.  Everyone has a "Fogg Bait and Tackle" shirt that Dick (Fogg's dad) made for everyone.  From left to right - Reed, Fogg, Nora, Dale, Bob (Dick's brother), Gram, Dick, Dana (Dick's brother) and Gabby.  The only kid of Gram's that is not there is Dick's sister Carol.

Uncle Bob gives Reed a ride on another tractor.

 Love this - 4 generations!

My kids with Gram and their grandparents - Gramma and Papa

 Family photo!

 Papa and Nora

This is my favorite picture from the trip - Gram and her namesake Nora - both smiling!

This has a long story.  Ohio street has a long Fogg history.  We didn't know about this sign or that the Constantine's were a part of the family.  Anyway, this property was originally Fogg land that the Constantine's got in marriage. They put up this old sign, who knows how long it's been there but it's pretty awesome that it's just sitting along side Ohio Street.

After our several days in Bangor visiting family, we went to Bar Harbor on the coast.  We went to my favorite little wood shop and they had this huge wooden horse.

Then we went to lunch on the dock, Nora was happy as could be.

Then we went to the beach in Acadia.  Nora's first time to the beach, she got at least two handfuls of sand in her mouth.

Reed at the beach!  He had a blast running in and out of the waves.

After the beach, we went to Jordan pond then drove up to the top of Cadillac Mountain.  How cute is this picture of Nora and daddy?

Reed loved running around the rocks at the top.  Beautiful view of the ocean too!

The next day we went to visit Sandra, Fogg's great aunt.

We drove down to Boston to spend the fourth of July with Fogg's cousins and aunt.  They have a pool and Reed had an absolute blast jumping in and swimming around.

On our last day on our trip we went to a little zoo, Reed rode the train.

 Nora liked the little sharks.

 Reed pet a goat.

Oh this is back on our first day, we drove from Boston to Freeport to meet up with Fogg's brother Dale and his wife Georgette and cousin Gabby.  Nora took right to uncle Dale.  These are all my cell phone pics that uploaded out of order but I don't feel like fixing them.

Reed passed out one day from all the fun.

Waiting at the airport to head back home.

The Dick and Fran Fogg grandkids playing - Reed, Gabby and Nora.

Waiting at the airport, watching the planes come in and out.  They both enjoyed this part.

We did so much more that I didn't take pictures of.  We had a blast relaxing with family, spending time with the other generations, learning more about the Fogg family history.  We also had great family time for a few days, just playing and enjoying company.  Thank you to all the family that hosted us, gave our kids gifts and just spent time with us - that means the most.

Cheers~
